Mysteries of the Snowman
Winter Funderland Family
Series debuts January 6
at Galena Creek Regional Park
Reno, Nevada. Galena Creek Regional
Park debuts the 2007 Winter Funderland Family Series with The Life and
Times of a Snowman, a look into the secret lives of Galena Creek Park’s
snowmen, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6. Cost: Free. Details:

All Winter Funderland programs
are Free
Galena Creek Regional Park is an ideal
setting for children and adults to enjoy winter fun. Winter Funderland programs
are held at 1:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month from January through
April. All Winter Funderland programs are free. Programs for 2007 include:
February 3: Annual Snowman/Snow
Creature Building Contest.
March 3: Families follow the tracks
of a variety of animals in the snow.
April 7: One more chance to play
those joyous winter snow games before the spring thaw.
Programs may be cancelled due to severe

Galena Creek Regional Park is managed by
the Washoe County Department of Regional Parks and Open Space. The park is
located on Mt. Rose Highway (State Route 431) about seven miles west of the
intersection with U.S. 395. The park features great hiking trials, junior
naturalist programs, Camp We Ch Me, a winter snow hill, snowshoeing, and
cross-country skiing.
