Public workshop to review final draft of Washoe County's Open Space Plan

January 24 at the Wilbur May Museum

Reno, Nevada. The final public workshop for Washoe County's Regional Open Space and Natural Resource Management Plan update is scheduled from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24 at the Wilbur D. May Museum in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

The Regional Open Space and Natural Resource Management Plan is the County's guide for making decisions that maintain the region's natural heritage, landscape and wildlife. The proposed update was developed over the last six months with the assistance of numerous partner agencies and the public. For the first time, a natural resource management component has been added into the plan.

Participants in the January 24 workshop will visit several stations that illustrate specific issues addressed by the plan. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and receive thoughts, concerns and ideas from the public.
